Description
This is a scene from one of my favorite books, Anne of Green Gables.
In the picture, Gilbert Blythe teases the temperamental Anne Shirley, calling her "Carrots!" repeatedly. This makes Anne furious because she's very touchy with her hair color, and she swears never to talk to Gilbert again. (At the end of the book they became friends, but only after Anne ignored Gilbert for a few hundred pages and a span of, what, eight years? Haha. )
The girl in pink is Diana Barry, Anne's best friend, and whom she describes as a "kindred spirit". The sitting boy is a random classmate.
All characters are based on the novel by L.M. Montgomery.
